WS19 Remote Control unit, Canadian Pattern

Remote control for WS19, Canadian pattern. Canadian radio equipment was used in large quantities by the British Army.

The function of this unit was to allow a radio to be some distance at the point at which the person sending a receiving messages was located, for example an observer could be up on a hill with the radio truck hidden at the bottom, this unit would be coupled to the WS19 and a telephone cable run out to the observer, the Wireless Operator would listen in to the transmissions and manually switch the remote between 'Receive' and 'send' as required.

Boxes are painted in either 'Service Brown' or 'Khaki Drab'
