Telescope identification, 1940 dated £1450

1940 dated Telescope Identification with 1940 dated Stand Instrument No27 and transit box with both sets of tinted lenses.

Overall good working order, eyepiece rubbers are replacements and different to the originals but appear to have been with it have been with it a very long time. Both eyepieces focus correctly, the right lens is clear, the left has some 'crazing' but image can still be easily seen.

TI's were often used by ATS personnel whose job was to confirm or deny and aircraft, picked up by a spotter, as hostile, once confirmed as hostile the angles for height and direction would be passed to the Height Finder and predictor which in turn provided for the guns to engage the target.
