37 Pattern Entrenching Tool Kit with Mk2 Handle

Entrenching tool kit, introduced in 1941. One only. Complete with Mk2 helve & head in WW2 dated carrier (Helve metal not blacked, some were, some weren't). The Mk2 helve differed in that it had an attachment to take the spike bayonet, this could then be used as a bayonet probe, or a general tool. These were on issue by the time of the Normandy Invasion in 1944.
