Bette Anderson trained as a timber measurer in April 1940 and went on to spend the remainder of the war working in the Timber Corps. 'We Just Got on With it' is a hardback book which covers in original photographs the Womens services of Britain in WW2, most of the photographs are from private sources and therefore previously unpublished. From the ATS, WRNS and WAAF to the WLA, ARP, Nurses, Southall Womens Volunteers, Home Guard, Red Cross etc. |
