WW2 Shell Dressing. Carried by many soldiers on active service, identical to WW1 pattern. During WW2 is often seen stowed on the tin helmet under the cam net. Bit faded This dressing was designed to be used immediately after injury, the outer contained a large bandage and cotton wool pad which were more suitable for the larger injuries caused by modern munitions than the First Field Dressing. Photo shows example only, dates may vary. This is an item from my own collection, postage extra, payment can only be made by Bank Transfer or Paypal.
