At the beinning of WW2 many companies produced first aid kits, some were for ARP services as local councils often purchased their own, some were for industrial use, others, as here, were made for householders but adopted by local councils.
This Boots manufactured kit has most of its contents, the lid of this set has been stewncilled ARP39, which would be a wardens post number, or the kit number.
No items in this kit should be used for medical purposes, nor should the first aid instructions be used as many of these procedures have changed over the years. Item sold as a collectable piece only
