Blues uniform of a Major in the Royal Artillery, the Scottish tailors label gives the date of Purchase as 1939, the owners name has been inked over, but under UV light appears to be R Wilson, he clearly had this uniform as he was promoted as there are only slightly discernable marks where the pips were (a Major R Wilson is listed with the Ayrshire Yeomanry in 1964, but he was commissioned Scots guards, so who knows, but the 152nd Ayrshire's saw service in Italy) . The medal ribbons are the 39-45 Star, Africa Star, Defence Medal, War medal and another I have not been able to place (see photo, if you have any idea please let me know, its not an LSGC) this may have had an MID leaf fitted at one time. The uniform is in superb condition and comprises Jacket, collar & trousers. Approximate sizes are chest 36", waist approx 28" to 30". The cap was purchased separately, it has some odd small areas of missing knap from moth but nothing serious; no buttons or badge but will complete the uniform nicely.
