John Brophy produced several manuals for the Home Guard and this ninth (!) reprint in August 1941 shows how useful they were. Covers topics such as 'What the job is', 'Resisting the invader', defence works and anti-tank warfare'. It's original early printing in September 1940 is still evident in the chapter ' The Arms of the L.D.V. indicating that the book title changed since that first edition.
Oddly, pages 21-28 have been trimmed short, by the printers by the look of it, but its only a few lines on each page, however this has been allowed for in the price.
