In all the years I have been involved in militaria and WW2 signals equipment these are the first genuine WW2 unused 'S' cell wet batteries I have come across, my surprise on being offered them from a relative of a deceased ex signaller was considerable.
Three of the four are still wrapped and I really don't want to be the one to open them. One which was opened on receipt is stamp dated 1944 and still has its tiny cork in which water (probably distilled) would be poured to activate the battery. I have no doubt that the remaining three will be the same.
These batteries were used in many items, from Field Telephones to Remote Control Units.
Photo shows actual items. Price is for one only i.e. priced singly, no charge in them, must not be charged or recharged or filed due to their age, sold for display purposes only.
Note that we have restricted the order quantity to a limit of one per order as Royal Mail rules are only one battery per package
