WW2 First Field Dressing. Carried by every soldier on active service, identical to WW1 pattern issued in second half of war. During WW2 was stowed in the field dressing pocket on the right hip. This dressing was designed to be used immediately after injury, the outer contained two small bandages which were generally totally inadequate for the type of injury caused by modern munitions |
