Pre/WW2 (Circa 1936-1941) original first version of Monopoly. No doubt often played during the long nights of the blackout and the blitz in 1940/41. I have not checked the mortgage cards but on a quick flip through it looks as though they are all there. The 'trinkets' are the original metal ones and The board is correct carrying the 1936 date for patent application and all the stations are for the LNER. The box for pieces and cards etc is the original but is well used and has seom splits at corners so must have been played a lot. Also included is a leaflet on the 'new game which has taken England by storm' and detailing the different versions and accessories that can be purchased, showing that this game must have been purchased very sson after launch and therefore before the war. Included are 2 bone dice.
