WW2 economy version of Monopoly. No doubt often played during the long nights of the blackout. I have not checked the mortgage cards but on a quick flip through it looks as though they are all there. A lot of the houses and hotels appear to be missing or replaced but it makes a great display item, especially at the price. The 'trinkets' were made from cardboard with a wooden base in order to save metal. The board is correct carrying the 1936 date for patent application and all the stations are for the LNER. The box for pieces and cards etc is not the original so it must have been played a lot! Please note this item is from my own collection and cannot be purchased online, if you wish to buy please 'phone and we can discuss payment methods. |
